Ingredients
1 pound 1 ground chicken
1/2 1/2 medium onion, minced
2 2 garlic cloves, minced
2 tablespoons 2 diced chipotle peppers in adobo sauce
1/2 teaspoon 1/2 cumin
1/2 teaspoon 1/2 salt
1/4 teaspoon 1/4 pepper
1 1 egg
1/2 cup 1/2 bread crumbs
Directions
- Use your hands to combine all ingredients in a large bowl.
- Form into 4 evenly sized patties.
- I recommend refrigerating the patties for at least 30 minutes (preferably 2-3 hours) to prevent them from falling apart while cooking.
- Preheat either the grill or a large pan on the stove to medium-high heat. To grill: brush the patties with olive oil so they don’t stick to the grill. Cook on each side for about 5 minutes, or until the internal temperature reaches 165F. Stove: coat the bottom of the pan in a light layer of oil. Cook on each side for about 5 minutes, or until the internal temperature reaches 165F.
